Brondby are continuing to talk to Celtic in an attempt to persuade the Scottish champions to drop their asking price for striker Teemu Pukki, but the player's agent says he is in the dark over what will happen and has called for clarity to be provided by the Bhoys soon.

Pukki linked up with Brondby last summer on a season-long loan from Celtic as he headed abroad in search of regular first team football and he has impressed during his spell in Denmark.

Brondby are keen to keep Pukki permanently, but have made it clear they will not pay the price Celtic are asking and want the Scottish giants to drop their asking price.

Talks are ongoing and it all adds up to a frustrating situation for the Finland international, who wants to remain with Brondby.

Agent Teemu Turunen told Tipsbladet: "I can't say much because right now it's not in our hands.

"He has enjoyed his time at Brondby and he really likes the club and wants to stay in Copenhagen, but the situation is that we do not know what Celtic want. He has a contract with Celtic, so they determine what should be done."

Celtic are thought to want around £900,000 for Pukki and the striker's agent has urged the Scottish club to quickly provide clarity on his client's future, with too many late moves having happened in the Finn's career.

"We really want to find a solution for Teemu, but the truth is that the two clubs must agree on a price before we can do anything", Turunen explained.

"We do not know how much Celtic want for him and we do not know if there is a club willing to pay the price.

"But there should be no doubt that I hope we will soon have clarity because Teemu's last three changes of club happened late in the transfer window. It is better if he can change early."

Pukki has made 26 appearances for Brondby so far this season and will round off his loan spell this coming weekend when the Danish club play their final game of the season in the Superliga.

The Finn has hit the back of the net for Brondby nine times in all competitions. He has three in his last four following a switch to a central striker role.
