Vitesse striker Bertrand Traore is eager to prove his worth for Chelsea after an impressive season in the Netherlands.

Snapped up from French outfit Auxerre, the youngster joined Vitesse on a loan deal in January last year and has had an excellent season for the club.

Scoring 18 goals in all competitions, the 19-year-old’s performances in the Dutch top flight played a key role in Vitesse finishing fifth in the league table this season.

The Burkina Faso international is aware that Chelsea are pleased with his development and he is now keen to prove his worth for his parent club next season.

However, he is still in the dark about his future and revealed that he will have some concrete information only after he comes back from his summer break.

“Chelsea are very happy with my development”, Traore told De Telegraaf.

“But I will only know after the holidays which direction my career is going.

“I am ready and when the opportunity comes I am not afraid to show my talent at Chelsea.”

Vitesse coach Peter Bosz has claimed that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the player and is eager to take him back to Stamford Bridge as soon as possible.

“Jose Mourinho is crazy about him and if the opportunity is there they would prefer to take him back”, said Bosz.

At 19, Traore is already an established international and has earned 15 caps for Burkina Faso.
