AC Milan have established contact with Arsenal linked Geoffrey Kondogbia’s agent as they look to press the accelerator and close the deal out for the Monaco midfielder.

Arsenal have been interested in signing the Frenchman this summer but AC Milan have been doing all the heavy lifting over the last few days in the transfer saga.

Rossoneri CEO Adriano Galliani flew across to Monte Carlo earlier this week and there was speculation that the Italian giants have reached an agreement with Monaco for a fee of around €27m for the transfer of Kondogbia.

However, it has emerged that the deal is yet to be agreed and according to Sky Italia, the Milanese giants have contacted the player’s representatives to reach a breakthrough in the next few days.

While Inter Milan are also on his trail, AC Milan are confident of closing out the deal in the next few days and are ready to pay up to €30m to Monaco to beat off competition from their city rivals.
