Arsenal forward Joel Campbell has admitted he takes it as a compliment that Real Sociedad are interested in snapping him up, though he is leaving the ball in the Gunners' court.

David Moyes' side are chasing the Costa Rica international's signature, but the Spanish club are just one of a number of teams looking to capture Campbell.

The forward spent the second half of the season on loan at Villarreal, being loaned to the Spanish side as part of the deal which sent defender Gabriel Paulista to Arsenal.

His place at the Emirates Stadium is in doubt though as Arsenal have a wealth of attacking options and he struggled to force his way into the reckoning during the first half of the season.

But Campbell is leaving the hard calls over his future to the Gunners.

"For a player it is a compliment to hear that a team like Real Sociedad are interested, but I am not concerning myself with these topics", he told Radio Marca Donostia.

"It is an issue for Arsenal, who hold my sporting rights, so we'll have to see what happens."

Campbell made 16 appearances in La Liga for Villarreal this season, scoring a single goal.
