Chelsea have made a €15m offer for Juventus target and FC Augsburg full-back Baba Rahman, according to Sky Italia.

The 20-year-old Ghanaian international has caught the attention of some top clubs across Europe with his performances at left-back for Augsburg last season.

Italian champions Juventus are keen to sign the full-back, but Chelsea have made their presence felt in the transfer saga.

Jose Mourinho is believed to have identified Rahman as a key target for Chelsea this summer and the club have made their move to take him to west London.

According to Sky Italia, his agent travelled to London recently to meet the Chelsea hierarchy and was presented with an offer of around €15m.

However, Augsburg are unlikely to accept the bid as the club are looking for a fee of around €20m for the Ghanaian full-back who still has four years left on his contract.

Chelsea are expected to continue to negotiate for Rahman and are keen to beat Juventus to his signature this summer.

Rahman made 31 Bundesliga appearances last season and played a key role in Augsburg finishing fifth in the league table.

He has also established himself on the international front and has earned eight caps for Ghana.
