Despite Las Palmas just tying down striker Sergio Araujo on permanent deal from Boca Juniors, Sevilla are considering putting in a bid for the hitman.

Araujo, who has been linked with Scottish champions Celtic, has just signed off on a sensational campaign with Las Palmas, during which his goals fired the Canary Island team to promotion to La Liga.

Las Palmas promptly secured Araujo on a permanent deal and declared they would not sell him this summer.

But according to Seville-based Estadio Deportivo, Sevilla are considering Araujo as a potential signing in the event they lose Carlos Bacca.

The Colombian striker is generating interest from AC Milan, Roma, Liverpool and Manchester United.

Sevilla are demanding that any interested parties meet Bacca's buy-out clause as they set their face against a transfer.

But they are still looking at potential replacements for the striker in the event his buy-out clause is met and he is stolen away.

Araujo is a potential option for the Europa League winners.
