Marseille midfielder Giannelli Imbula is set to snub Inter Milan and join FC Porto this summer.

Previously linked with a move to Arsenal and Chelsea, there was speculation that Inter are close to clinching a deal with Marseille for the signing of the French midfielder.

However, things took a dramatic turn over the weekend after Porto are reported to have lodged a €25m bid with Marseille for the 22-year-old midfielder.

According to French daily L’Equipe, the Ligue 1 side have accepted Porto’s offer and the midfielder is on his way to joining the Portuguese giants.

Inter had already offered him a four-year contract but the player asked for some time to think and after hours of discussion with his advisers on Sunday, Imbula decided to choose Porto as his preferred destination.
