Ajax starlet Viktor Fischer has lashed out at former Celtic striker John Guidetti following Denmark Under-21s' meeting with Sweden Under-21s in the European Under-21 Championship.

In the semi-final contest Guidetti scored as Sweden marched to a 4-1 victory to put themselves in the final in the Czech Republic and send Denmark tumbling out.

Guidetti blasted the Danes after the match and claimed they were the worst side in the whole tournament, launching a stinging attack on his country's neighbours.

Fischer has now made light of the striker's comments, advising him to enjoy his win because in the past, when Guidetti played for Ajax's rivals Feyenoord, he consistently lost.

The young Dane told Voetbal International: "This kind of player is always interesting. He is a good player and always motivated. It was a strong Swedish team.

"I can say that I was one of the Danes who was focused on this clash we had against Sweden.

"I therefore feel he wasn't addressing me, but he can say he was the winner.

"In his time at Feyenoord, he was always the big loser.

"So he can enjoy this now."

Guidetti's Sweden will be hoping to win the European Under-21 Championship when they lock horns with Portugal in the final of the competition tomorrow evening.

Portugal thrashed Germany in their semi-final, putting their opponents to the sword 5-0.
