Real Madrid are considering loaning out their midfielder Lucas Silva this summer, according to Madrid-based daily AS.

Silva landed at the Santiago Bernabeu in the winter transfer window from Brazilian outfit Cruzeiro and went on to make nine appearances in all competitions for Los Blancos.

Deportivo La Coruna have emerged as the leading candidates to take the Brazilian on a season-long loan.

Brancoazuis boss Victor Sanchez is a keen admirer of the midfielder and is hoping to add him to his ranks before his side begin their league campaign next season.

Silva doesn’t appear to feature prominently in manager Rafael Benitez’s plans for the coming season and the 22-year-old is likely to ply his trade away from the Santiago Bernabeu next term.
