David de Gea's proposed move to Real Madrid from Manchester United is being held up by the Red Devils' interest in Sergio Ramos, it has been claimed.

Real Madrid are keen on signing De Gea, who has just one year left on his contract at Old Trafford and has resisted putting pen to paper to an extension in search of a return to his homeland.

Los Blancos had been hopeful of concluding a quick agreement with Manchester United for De Gea, but the transfer saga is dragging on.

And according to Spanish TV programme El Chiringuito, it is the Red Devils' interest in Ramos which is delaying a move for De Gea.
