Abou Diaby is in advanced negotiations with MLS side FC Dallas following his release from Arsenal.

It was confirmed earlier today that Diaby has left Arsenal following the expiry of his contract with the Gunners, calling time on a spell which was badly marred by repeated injuries.

It had been suggested Diaby could remain at Arsenal on a pay as you play basis, but it now appears he could be turning out in the MLS soon.

According to France Football, at present Diaby is in the United States, holding talks with MLS outfit FC Dallas.

Discussions are at an advanced stage and the 29-year-old could soon put pen to paper on a deal with the MLS side.
