Atletico Madrid midfielder and Barcelona and Manchester United target Arda Turan has rubbished recent reports regarding his transfer from Los Rojiblancos this summer.

The Turkey international, who has acknowledged being in talks with several European clubs, was reported to have signed for Barcelona yesterday.

Turan’s agent Ahmed Bulut had earlier said that his client is looking for pastures new after having spent four years in the Spanish capital, adding that his client would prefer a move to the English Premier League.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for the Turk as Louis van Gaal attempts to reinforce his side for title push next season after their fourth place league finish last term.

Chelsea have also been reported to be interested in the 28-year-old.

However, Turan took to Twitter to rubbish the reports regarding his future destination and labelled the recent reports false.

“There has been a lot of talk about me but the information which has been published is false.

“I am on holiday, relaxing.”

Turan has been at the Vicente Calderon since the summer of 2011 and through the course of his time in Madrid, he has gone on to play 177 matches for Los Colchoneros.
