Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has praised his club’s intent in the transfer window so far.

The transfer window only opened officially on Wednesday but the Reds have already brought in six new players to the club. And last season’s club vice-captain Henderson feels the new arrivals have been a “huge boost” for the Reds.

"It's a huge boost – all of the signings have been really positive", said the England international to Liverpool’s official website.

Liverpool have secured the signings of James Milner, Danny Ings, Adam Bogdan, Joe Gomez, Roberto Firmino and Nathaniel Clyne in a busy summer so far.

And 25-year-old Henderson believes the new players will be influential for the club in the upcoming season. He also hailed the Reds’ intent to go for their transfer targets early doors.

"I think we've shown good intent early on in the transfer window to go and get the players that we want.

“They're big players as well, and I'm sure they'll have a huge impact on Liverpool and hopefully this season", he added.

Liverpool, who finished a disappointing sixth last season in the Premier League, will hope for improvement in 2015/16. They start their season with an away game at Stoke City.
