AC Milan have confirmed the signing of Luiz Adriano from Shakhtar Donetsk, and have handed him a five-year contract.

Adriano’s existing contract with the Ukrainian giants was expiring in December this year and the Rossoneri seemed to be tying him to a pre-contract before he moved to San Siro in the winter.

But the Brazilian is now set to join the Italians this summer after signing a contract that will see him in Milan until the summer of 2020.

A statement released on the AC Milan website confirmed the signing of the 28-year-old.

“AC Milan announces that it has today acquired outright from FC Shakhtar Donetsk Luiz Adriano, the player signed a contract expiring on 30th June 2020.
