Young Celtic striker Paul McMullan has joined Scottish Championship outfit St Mirren on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old Scotland Under-19 international’s move to the Buddies was confirmed by his parent club Celtic today.




The youngster had a brief loan spell last season at Scottish League One side Stenhousemuir. He made eight appearances for the Warriors and scored two goals.

McMullan came back from his loan spell at Stenhousemuir to help Celtic win the Scottish Youth Cup at the end of the 2014/15 season. He played as the lone striker in the final against Rangers, which the Bhoys won 5-2.
 


He has also represented Celtic in European competitions, having played eight times for the Under-19s in the UEFA Youth League.

Since scoring a brace for Celtic Under-17s in the Glasgow Cup final in 2013, the Scot has been featuring regularly for Celtic’s development side over the past two seasons.

McMullan has represented Scotland at Under-19, Under-17 and Under-16 level. The current season is his ninth with the Scottish champions.
