Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is showing interest in Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Yohan Cabaye.

Van Gaal is a fan of the French midfielder, who already has Premier League experience due to a prior spell in England with Newcastle United.

The Frenchman is unhappy at the Parc des Princes due to a lack of playing time and is fretting over losing his place in the France squad for Euro 2016.

Van Gaal may provide Cabaye with a dream solution to his situation as according to French sports daily L'Equipe, the Dutchman sees the midfielder as the perfect successor to Michael Carrick in the middle of the park at Old Trafford.

Cabaye is also being chased by Crystal Palace, whose manager Alan Pardew worked with him at Newcastle, and Van Gaal has not firmed up any interest yet.
