Nabil Bentaleb has put pen to paper on a new contract with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Algeria international, who is a product of Spurs' youth system, has signed a deal running until the summer of 2020.

Bentaleb's new contract further reinforces the importance with which he is viewed by Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.

The 20-year-old was regularly trusted by Pochettino with a spot in the Spurs side last season and can be expected to play a big role for the north London club next term.

He made 35 appearances in all competitions last season and regularly linked up with another academy product in Ryan Mason in the heart of the club's midfield.
