Tottenham Hotspur defender Kieran Trippier has said that he feels welcome at White Hart Lane and is looking forward to the challenges of the coming season.

Trippier has arrived at the north London outfit from Burnley as Mauricio Pochettino consolidates his ranks for the coming season to help Spurs bid for a top four finish in the league standings.

The right-back enjoyed a successful campaign with the Clarets last term and featured in every match of their league campaign. He registered five assists through the course of the season.

The Englishman is delighted to have landed at White Hart Lane and has said that he feels welcome at the club.

“I knew a few of the players before I joined and it’s key to bond with the lads as soon as possible, so it’s been a great couple of days”, he was quoted as saying by his club’s site.

“Ever since I first walked through the doors, everyone in the club has made me feel so welcome, the staff have been great and so have my team-mates.

“It’s a huge club but it feels like home straight away.

“I’m really looking forward to the challenges ahead.”

Spurs ended their last season in fifth and thereby missed out on Champions League qualification, albeit they made the group stage of the Europa League.

Trippier will look to help his new team find a spot in the Champions League next term.
