Manchester City target Kevin De Bruyne’s agents are set to meet Wolfsburg today to discuss a contract extension for their client.

The former Chelsea man’s current deal runs until the summer of 2019 but the Wolfsburg hierarchy have confirmed that they will offer him a new and improved contract in line with his performances.

With 16 goals and 28 assists in all competitions last season, De Bruyne is one of the most sought after young talents in world football and Manchester City and PSG are prepared to offer big money for him this summer.

However, Wolfsburg have made it clear that they are not going to sell De Bruyne under any circumstances this summer and expect him to lead their Champions League campaign next season.

There has been talk about the club being ready to offer him an extended and improved contract and according to Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws, the playmaker’s agents will meet the German outfit to discuss terms of a new deal later today.
