Real Madrid custodian Iker Casillas has already spoken to FC Porto coach Julen Lopetegui about a proposed move to the Estadio do Dragao this summer.

Speculation surrounding Casillas’ future at Real Madrid has been on the rise all summer but it gained new momentum last night after it was reported that Porto are interested in signing the goalkeeper.

While some claimed a deal between the Portuguese giants and Real Madrid is already in place, it has been rumoured the clubs are still negotiating the terms of the proposed move.

Casillas’ agent claimed yesterday that his client is interested in joining Porto and according to Spanish radio station Cadena COPE, he has already spoken with the Porto boss about the transfer.

It has emerged that the 34-year-old is excited about the project under Lopetegui at Porto and is keen to complete his switch this summer.

Porto have also prepared a proposed contract for Casillas and are ready to offer him a two-year deal worth €2.5m per season to lure the Spaniard away from Los Blancos.

Casillas earns €6m per year at Real Madrid but with the club actively trying to sign David de Gea from Manchester United, the veteran shot-stopper is aware that he might not be first choice at the Bernabeu next season.
