Stoke City target Xherdan Shaqiri wants to stay put at Inter Milan for next season and prove his worth for the Nerazzurri.

Inter accepted a €17m bid from Stoke City last week for the transfer of the Swiss winger, but the player rejected the chance to join the Potters.

Despite Stoke’s and Roberto Mancini’s efforts to convince Shaqiri to leave Inter in favour of a switch to the Britannia Stadium this summer, the player remains firm on his stance.

There is speculation that Atletico Madrid are also interested in the player but according to FcInterNews.it, Shaqiri has no intention of moving out of Milan this summer.

The 23-year-old is convinced that he is good enough to be part of Mancini’s project at the Nerazzurri for next season and is keen to prove his worth for the club.
