Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk have re-signed former Arsenal striker Eduardo.

The 32-year-old joined the Miners for the first time from Arsenal in 2010, but departed last year to link up with Brazilian outfit Flamengo.

Eduardo's return to the country of his birth has not lasted long however and he is now back at Shakhtar Donetsk.

During his first spell in the Ukraine, Eduardo picked up four Ukrainian Premier League titles, three Ukrainian Cups and one Ukrainian Super Cup.

A popular figure in Donetsk, he has now answered the Miners' call to return for a second spell and will be expected to help fill the gaps left by the twin departures of Douglas Costa (to Bayern Munich) and Luiz Adriano (to AC Milan).
