Leeds United have been linked with holding an interest in Brazilian left winger Raphael Martinho.

The 27-year-old currently plies his trade in Italy for Catania, having been fully acquired by the club following a period of co-ownership.

Leeds are thought to be in the market for a quick winger and the Brazilian may fit the bill.

Indeed, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, the Whites hold an interest in the 27-year-old, who is also able to operate as a wing-back.

Last season the Brazilian made a total of 22 appearances for Catania, scoring three goals and providing his team-mates with five assists.

In Italy, Martinho also counts Cesena and Hellas Verona amongst his former clubs, but returned to the club which brought him to Italy in 2010, Catania, last year.

Renowned for his pace and dribbling ability, the winger may be an attractive proposition for a Leeds team that have been accused of lacking width in recent seasons.
