Arsenal have made an offer of €10m for Napoli defender Faouzi Ghoulam, according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, cited by Marca.

Ghoulam, a product of French outfit Saint-Etienne’s youth academy, joined Napoli last January and has been one of the standout performers for the Italian club.

He earned plaudits for his performances under then Napoli manager Rafael Benitez and has attracted attention of several European heavyweights this summer.

Benitez, now at the helm of Real Madrid, has been linked with a move for his former player. Reigning French champions Paris Saint-Germain have too been reportedly keen on bringing the Algerian back to Ligue 1.

However, Arsenal have made an offer for Ghoulam as they bid to reinforce their side for the upcoming 2015/16 campaign.
