AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani has insisted that his club will not offer more than €25m to Roma for Arsenal linked Alessio Romagnoli.

The Rossoneri are actively seeking to take the 20-year-old defender to the San Siro this summer and are said to have placed their offer on Roma’s table.

Galliani confirmed that the Milanese giants have made a €25m bid for Romagnoli and said that they are interested in signing the defender.

However, he insisted that contrary to speculation they are not going to raise their offer to match Roma’s reported asking price of €30m and stressed that their current offer is also their last.

Speaking to Italian news agency ANSA, Galliani said: “Our offer for Romagnoli won’t change.

“The offer is not going to differ and if Roma accept it then it is fine or we will make other assessments.”

Arsenal are also interested in the Italian Under-21 defender and are reportedly in talks with Roma to agree a deal for Romagnoli.

The youngster caught the imagination of his suitors with impressive performances during his loan spell at Sampdoria last season.

Roma are said to be keen to hold on to the defender who still has three years left on his contract with the club.
