Manchester United are preparing one final bid for Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos.

Ramos, who could be offered Real Madrid captaincy for next season, is standing firm in his decision to leave the club and Manchester United are his preferred choice.

While Los Blancos are unwilling to adhere to his salary demands, they are also not keen to lose one more senior player this summer and the club hierarchy have been trying to mend their relationship with the 29-year-old.

But Ramos remains adamant about leaving the club and Manchester United are set to place their last bid on Real Madrid’s table for the defender soon.

According to Spanish daily AS, Manchester United are preparing a new offer of €60m, which would smash the record fee the club have ever paid for a defender, and it would be their final offer for the 29-year-old.

While Manchester United remain keen to sign Ramos, they are unwilling to drag the deal late into the transfer window and want a resolution before the season starts next month.

Real Madrid have been demanding €90m for Ramos, but Manchester United are hoping that a big fee will convince the Spanish giants to allow the defender to move to Old Trafford.
