Leeds United head coach Uwe Rosler feels his men did the club's supporters proud today, despite going down to a 2-1 friendly defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Rosler's men took on the Bundesliga outfit in Austria and instantly saw Eintracht Frankfurt impose their passing game, making the Whites work hard.

However, Leeds took the lead when Steve Morison struck in the 26th minute, an advantage they held heading into the half-time break.

But two second half goals for Eintracht Frankfurt, coming in the 59th and 74th minutes, put the German side in charge and they saw out the game to claim a 2-1 win.

Rosler though was proud with what he saw and believes the 400 Leeds fans present were done proud by his hard working team, who were playing a side with more quality than his own.

"I think the players were terrific. We got exactly what we hoped", the former Wigan Athletic manager told LUTV.

"We played against a team who are very good with ball possession and we had to work extremely hard to deny them.

"We worked very good with shape and the longer the game went we adapted to their quality a little bit better and we kept the ball a little bit better.

"We scored a goal, looked good on the break and in the second half for periods we could match them in passing."

For Rosler, the heat his players were operating in made their performance all the more impressive.

"There were a lot of good performances and I will highlight the team, the team effort, the work ethic and the morale in the camp, which was very impressive.

"The conditions were brutal, especially for an English team who are not used to playing in those sort of conditions.

"We played against a very good side who were above our qualities and we stuck in and made the supporters who travelled such a long way proud", Rosler added.
