Barcelona are waiting for Manchester United to make a concrete offer for Liverpool target Pedro Rodriguez.

Despite recently signing a new four-year contract with Barcelona, the Spanish forward has been widely tipped to be on his way out of the Nou Camp this summer.

While Liverpool have been linked with a move for the 27-year-old, Manchester United are said to have taken a decisive lead in the chase for Pedro and are favourites to take him to England.

It has been claimed that Pedro’s move to Old Trafford is imminent and according to Spanish daily El Confidencial, the Catalan giants are expecting Manchester United to place a concrete offer on their table soon.

The Red Devils are in the market to sign forwards this summer and Pedro’s versatility is believed to be one of the key reasons why Louis van Gaal wants him in his squad for next season.

The 27-year-old has a release clause of €30m in his new contract with Barcelona and Manchester United are reportedly looking to trigger it.

The La Masia graduate has scored 98 goals and has won three league titles and three Champions League crowns at Barcelona.

However, the presence of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez in the squad has limited his first team opportunities and he is keen to leave to play more football next season ahead of the European Championship next summer.
