Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets is hoping that Pedro Rodriguez stays put at the Camp Nou, but admits he can understand why the forward is considering his future.

Pedro saw his playing time restricted last season as Neymar, Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi formed a lethal combination in attack.

He is available for just €30m this summer and Manchester United have been mooted to be closing in on his signature, with a bid prepared and ready to be slapped in.

Busquets is hoping that Pedro chooses to remain at Barcelona, but fully understands his team-mate's concerns.

The midfielder was quoted as saying by AS: "Yes, I've spoken to him but I can't reveal what he said.

"I understand why he has his doubts because he wants to play", Busquets continued, hinting clearly at a possible departure for Pedro.

"I hope he stays but it's his decision."

Pedro is also thought to be concerned at a lack of playing time in a year which has Euro 2016 at the end of it.

He has been linked with two other English clubs aside from Manchester United, in Chelsea and Liverpool this summer.
