West Ham have been taking soundings over the availability of Atalanta striker German Denis, a player nicknamed "the tank" due to his physical presence.

The Hammers are looking to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new Premier League campaign and 33-year-old Denis has fallen onto their radar as a potential signing.




According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, the Hammers have been exploring the striker's availability through informal contacts.

West Ham have just completed the signing of one Argentine in the shape of Manuel Lanzini and could bring in his countryman Denis.
 

 

Renowned as a powerful striker, Denis currently plies his trade in Italy with Atalanta, a side he initially joined on loan from Udinese in 2011.
