West Ham are tracking the progress of Barcelona starlet Alen Halilovic, who is also generating interest from Real Betis.

Barcelona secured the signature of the coveted Croatian youngster last summer and have high hopes from him in the future.

However, the 19-year-old has made just one appearance in the senior team and spent most of last season playing for Barcelona B, who were relegated to the Segunda B Division.

The Barcelona starlet is believed to be considering his options for next season as he is unlikely to play much first team football for the senior team.

And the talented youngster is in demand as according to Catalan daily Sport, West Ham and Real Betis are interested in signing him this summer.

It has been claimed that Halilovic is open to a move to Upton Park next season because of the presence of Slaven Bilic, who has recommended the youngster to the West Ham board.

The Hammers are set to act on their interest in the 19-year-old playmaker and are claimed to be ready to make a concrete offer in the next few weeks.

While the Catalan giants are unlikely to sell him this summer, they are open to the idea of loaning him out and could consider an offer from West Ham. Real Betis have already asked about the youngster.
