Liverpool defender Andre Wisdom is joining Norwich City on a season-long loan deal.

Wisdom spent last term out on loan at West Brom and was a regular fixture at the Hawthornes. It had been thought he would receive a chance in the first team at Anfield this term, but instead he has been sent out to Carrow Road.

The 22-year-old made 24 appearances in the Premier League for West Brom last season and will now bid to get further first team football under his belt with Norwich.

And Canaries boss Alex Neil is delighted that the young defender will be at his disposal for the forthcoming campaign.

He told his club's official site: "I’m delighted as Andre fits our profile in terms of getting hungry players in who want to make their way in the game.

"He’s also had Premier League experience with a few different clubs, so we’re happy to get it over the line. It will add to the competition for places as he’s a flexible player."

Wisdom was snapped up by Liverpool at the age of just 14 years old from Bradford City and made his debut for the Reds in the Europa League in 2012.

The defender has made a total of 22 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions.
