Bastian Schweinsteiger is settling into his new surroundings at Manchester United's Old Trafford ground.

The Germany international was signed by the Red Devils from Bayern Munich earlier this summer and put pen to paper on a three-year contract with Louis van Gaal's men.

However, no sooner had Schweinsteiger passed his medical and signed his contract at his new club's training base than he was boarding a plane with his new side for their tour of the United States.

Now Schweinsteiger is back in England with Manchester United and has taken the time to familiarise himself with his new surroundings.

The midfielder took to Twitter to post a photograph of himself at Old Trafford.

And the midfielder wrote: "Greetings from Old Trafford!"

Manchester United could only manage a finish of fourth in the Premier League last season as they were well adrift of challenging Jose Mourinho's Chelsea for the title.

Manager Louis van Gaal will hope to change that in the forthcoming campaign with more than a little help from new signing Schweinsteiger.
