Juventus, Manchester City and Atletico Madrid linked FC Porto full-back Alex Sandro is all set to pen a new contract with the Dragons, according to Portuguese sports daily A Bola.

The 24-year-old has only a year left on his contract with Porto and the club were keen on the defender signing a new deal for the fear of losing him for nothing next summer.




Reigning Italian champions Juventus, Premier League heavyweights Manchester City and Spanish giants Atletico Madrid were linked with a move for Sandro, but he appears to ready to extend his stay in Portugal.

Porto have reached an agreement in principle with him to renew his contract.
 


The new deal is expected to be signed before the beginning of the 2015/16 season, but the duration of the contract remains uncertain.

However, the Brazilian will see a raise on his current salary.

Sandro’s buy-out clause, which is €50m, is expected to be lowered in his new contract.

The 24-year-old has been at the Estadio do Dragao for the past four years and has gone on to play 133 games for the Porto first team.
