Liverpool starlet Sheyi Ojo has signed a new long-term contract with the Reds and subsequently joined Wolverhampton Wanderers on a season-long loan deal.

Ojo arrived at Anfield in 2011 from MK Dons and notched six goals across the Under-21 Premier League Division 1 and the UEFA Youth League last season from his 15 appearances.

He spent a brief loan stint with Wigan Athletic last season as they struggled to maintain their Championship status before dropping to League One.

The youngster was on the bench for two of Liverpool’s league games – against Leicester City and Burnley – but failed to make his senior debut for the first team.

He will look to gain valuable first team exposure with Wolverhampton Wanderers in the 2015/16 season.
