Fiorentina are hoping to convince Liverpool striker Fabio Borini to join them this summer, but the player prefers a switch to Lazio at present.

La Viola have reached an agreement in principle with Liverpool to sign Borini, but the Italian himself has yet to be convinced of a move to Fiorentina.

According to Italian daily La Nazione, at present Borini is leaning towards joining Lazio.

The Rome-based side have a tricky playoff round tie against Bayer Leverkusen on the horizon, but if they reach the Champions League group stage then extra finances would become available for Borini.
