Tottenham Hotspur starlet Shaquile Coulthirst has joined League One side Wigan Athletic on loan until the end of October.

Coulthirst has had loan stints at several outfits during the course of his time at White Hart Lane.

His loan spells include stints at Leyton Orient, Torquay United, Southend United and York City, with Wigan Athletic being the latest addition on the list.

The striker made his senior debut for Tottenham Hotspur when he came on as a substitute for Roberto Soldado in a Europa League group stage game against Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013.

However, he has found chances hard to come by with the Spurs first team.

Wigan were relegated to League One last season after they finished 23rd in the Championship standings.

Coulthirst will look to help them to a strong start in the third division of the English league during his time at the DW Stadium.

The 20-year-old has made 29 appearances for the Spurs Under-21 team and has also earned two caps for the England Under-21 side.
