Liverpool are showing serious interest in Lazio forward Keita Balde Diao and could move to take the former Barcelona youngster to Anfield before the transfer window closes.

Keita has been frustrated at a lack of playing time at the Stadio Olimpico and though Lazio president Claudio Lotito has sought to calm the situation by meeting with the 20-year-old, a transfer could be on the cards.

According to Italian daily Il Tempo, Liverpool are showing interest in Keita, a player they have been linked with in the past.

And the Reds could be ready to consider meeting Lazio's asking price for the forward, which sits between the €15m and €18m mark.

Keita burst onto the scene for Lazio in the 2013/14 campaign and scored eleven goals in 39 games, along with providing nine assists.
