Chelsea have joined the chase for Tottenham Hotspur target and AS Monaco starlet Anthony Martial.

The French Under-21 international is a highly-rated forward in his county and Monaco snapped him up from Lyon in the summer of 2013.

While he is still to secure a certain starting spot in Monaco’s first eleven, his performance have caught the eye of suitors across Europe, especially in the Premier League.

Tottenham were interested in the player before Monaco tied him down to a new four-year contract earlier this year, but speculation surrounding his future is refusing to die down.

Premier League champions Chelsea are claimed to be interested in the player and according to Spanish daily AS, they are ready to offer big money to make the deal happen.

The Blues are ready to place an offer of around €55m on Monaco’s table to prise the 19-year-old forward away from the Stade Louis II this summer.

However, Monaco are unlikely to listen to offers for the player, but it has been suggested that the situation could change if they fail to make it to the Champions League group stage.

Therefore, Martial could still leave Monaco this summer, but a deal could take place in the final stretch of the transfer window.
