Leeds United have a deal in place with Watford for forward Fernando Forestieri, with the move now resting upon the player's decision.

The Whites had appeared to be out of the race for the 25-year-old, deeming him too expensive. But owner Massimo Cellino has taken personal charge of the negotiations and is prepared to pay Watford's asking price for the Argentina-born forward.

Now, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds have agreed a fee with Watford, thought to be between the £3m to £4m mark.

As a result the move is dependent upon Forestieri, whether he can agree a move to Elland Road and wants to join Leeds, which would mean dropping down a division.

Forestieri is out of favour at Watford and the Premier League side are prepared to allow him to move on.
