Bayern Munich sporting director Matthias Sammer has ruled out selling Manchester United target Thomas Muller this summer.

Louis van Gaal's Manchester United are firm fans of Muller and have been linked with slapping in a big-money bid to convince Bayern Munich to sell the forward.

But the Red Devils have had no luck and it does not appear their fortunes will improve as Sammer says the Bavarians need all the players at their disposal for the season ahead.

"We will need every player", Sammer was quoted as saying by UEFA.

"I think there is nothing more that could happen", he added.
