David de Gea’s potential move to Real Madrid has hit a snag as Keylor Navas wants to stay at the Bernabeu.

Real Madrid have been trying all summer to take the former Atletico Madrid man back to the Spanish capital, but are yet to find a solution.




Manchester United have stuck to their guns and would only do a deal on their terms, but Real Madrid are speculated to be ready to make one final attempt today to sign De Gea.

Manchester United’s hardline stance has been a stumbling block for Los Blancos, but the club are set to face another potential roadblock for their De Gea operation.
 

 


According to Spanish radio station Cadena SER, Navas is not ready to leave Real Madrid this summer and is keen to cement his place as the club’s first choice shot-stopper this season.

The 28-year-old Costa Rican number has started the season as the club’s number one, but Real Madrid were hoping to sell him should they succeed in signing De Gea.

However, Navas wants to stay and it is expected to further complicate matters for Real Madrid, who are already in a race against time to sign the Manchester United goalkeeper.

The goalkeeper received praise from the Bernabeu faithful for his performance against Real Betis in Real Madrid’s 5-0 win at the weekend.
