Real Madrid have tied Casemiro to a new six-year contract that will see him at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2021.

Casemiro signed for the Spanish giants in the summer of 2013 from Brazilian club Sao Paulo, but he failed to cement a regular spot in the first team under then manager Carlo Ancelotti.

He spent the last season on a loan stint at Portuguese club FC Porto and after a series of impressive displays through the season, he has been brought back to the Spanish capital.

The Brazilian has now extended his contract with Los Blancos until 2021, highlighting his prominence in manager Rafael Benitez’s plans.

“Real Madrid and Casemiro have agreed upon his renewal until June 30th, 2021”, the club announced.
