Premier League outfit Aston Villa have signed goalkeeper Matija Sarkic on a three-year deal from Anderlecht.

Sarkic has come through the ranks of Anderlecht’s famed youth academy and had been turning out for the club’s Under-19 side.

Having signed a three-year contract with the Premier League club, the youngster will look to impress manager Tim Sherwood and possibly attempt to find a spot in the first team.

The 18-year-old played for Montenegro in the Under-17 European Championship in 2013 and will be part of Montenegro’s Under-21 squad for their European Championship qualifier in Moldova due to be held this Friday.
