Newcastle United have officially confirmed the departure of promising midfielder Olivier Kemen to French Ligue 1 side Lyon.
Kemen, who was linked with clubs such as AC Milan, Monaco, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur this summer, headed to France yesterday to undergo a medical with Lyon.
He quickly agreed a deal to put pen to paper on a contract. The youngster announced his move to Les Gones last night, but the move was only officially confirmed by the Magpies this morning.
Newcastle have not disclosed the fee that they have received for the 19-year-old, who they signed from French outfit Metz in 2013.
Kemen did not make a single first team appearance during his time at St. James' Park, but was a regular for the club's Under-21 side.

The 19-year-old is France Under-19s' captain and has been tipped for big things.
But he will now continue his career back in his homeland with Ligue 1 giants Lyon.
