West Ham have snapped up Victor Moses from Chelsea on a season-long loan deal, despite Tottenham Hotspur being linked with hijacking the move.

The Hammers put Moses through his medical paces last night and, although it was reported Spurs were moving to take the former Liverpool man to White Hart Lane, have seen through the deal.

Moses has put pen to paper on a season-long loan at Upton Park and joins Alex Song through the door at the club on transfer deadline day.

The news was revealed by West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan's son, Jack, who took to his Twitter account to write: "Moses has signed a season long loan deal."
