Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino is delighted with his club's work throughout the summer transfer window.

The Whites recruited heavily earlier this summer, while they also offloaded a number of players. Today, on transfer deadline day, Leeds were active again.

The Yorkshire giants snapped up winger Jordan Botaka from Dutch side Excelsior, but did not sign a second player today, as it was thought they were intending to do.

But Cellino is pleased with the work Leeds have done and believes the club now have a squad of players who are fully committed to the cause.

The controversial Italian businessman told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "We've cleaned the club out.

"We have players here who want to be in the project, every one of them", Cellino added.

Leeds could still add to their ranks, despite the transfer window having closed, as the Football League loan window is due to open and head coach Uwe Rosler has hinted at being active in terms of potential loan signings.

The Whites won their first game of the season last weekend, beating Derby County 2-1 away from home.
