Raith Rovers manager Ray McKinnon says he has developed a game plan to beat Rangers at Ibrox tomorrow after watching the Gers in action.

McKinnon's men head to Ibrox to lock horns with Mark Warburton's side in a Scottish Championship clash which is a daunting prospect given the Gers' recent form, with all comers having been blown away.

Rangers have won all eight of their competitive games in all competitions this season and sit top of the Championship table with a 100 per cent record, strongly backed to win automatic promotion.

McKinnon knows the scale of the task in front of his team, but insists he has watched Rangers in action, pinpointed weak spots and developed a plan to beat the Gers, which his men must now put into action.

"I've watched them twice. They are a team playing with a lot of confidence and expecting to win games and score goals", the former Aberdeen midfielder told Raith Rovers TV.

"They scored five against Queen of the South last week and they scored against Alloa, and they are creating a lot of chances, so I'm very aware of how they are going to set up and play.

"But I've spent a lot of time since Saturday thinking how I'm going to set up against this team and the way I'm going to set up is to win the game, make no bones about that.

"We understand that financially Rangers are on a different level from everybody in Scottish football apart from Celtic", McKinnon continued.

"Listen, we're a good side and if we do our jobs properly on Saturday and stand up then there are weaknesses in that Rangers side that I've seen."

Raith currently sit fourth in the Championship table after collecting six points from their opening four games, six points behind Rangers.
