Danny Ings is keen to learn from the different strikers that Liverpool have in their stable at the moment.

The Englishman joined Liverpool from Burnley this summer and is one of the options that Brendan Rodgers has for their attack this season.

Ings is keen to keep learning at Anfield and is particularly looking forward to working with Daniel Sturridge, who has recently returned to training after a long injury layoff.

The former Chelsea man missed most of last season due to his persistent injury concerns, but is eyeing a return to action soon for the Reds.

Ings believes Sturridge remains a top player and is keen to learn from the England international about the tricks of his trade.

"He’s a fantastic striker, he scores many goals, he’s sharp, he works hard, so it will great to have him back”, Ings told the club’s official website.

“He’s another player that I can learn from. He’s been doing it at the top level for many years now so it’s great to have him back and I’m looking forward to working with him.”

The former Burnley man feels Liverpool have a good variety of strikers at their disposal, which gives him a great opportunity for him to learn forwards who have a different skill set than him.

“I think everybody here has different qualities as strikers and it’s only better for all of us to learn from each other – and especially for me to learn off them, the more experienced strikers here.

“It’s great to have so many good strikers at the club for me to learn from.”

Ings has only made one substitute appearance for Liverpool so far this season and will be hoping to play a more prominent role as the season progresses.

He is expected to be part of the Reds squad that will travel to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United on 12th September.
