Rangers right-back James Tavernier is eyeing a dominant home performance against Raith Rovers today.

The Gers have made a flying start to the season and have taken the maximum points from their first four league fixtures to sit comfortably at the top of the Scottish Championship.

With an eye on promotion to the top flight this season, Rangers are hoping to dominate the Scottish second tier and Tavernier feels their home form could prove to be crucial.

The 24-year-old is keen to see the Gers play champagne football at Ibrox and look to dominate teams to send the home fans away with a smile on their faces at the end of the game.

“Every game we come to we always go out and play how we want to play and we always want to send the fans home happy and win the game in the our own manner”, Tavernier told the club’s official website.

Ahead of Raith Rovers’ visit to Ibrox today, the Englishman revealed that Rangers are ready and prepared to face the challenge of Ray McKinnon's team, who sit fourth in the league table.

Tavernier insisted that Rangers should look to dominate Raith and try to score as many goals as possible in front of their home support today.

“We did a bit of analysis ahead of the game on Thursday and then we have trained well again today, we’ll do our normal preparations and we’ll have a game plan coming into the game.

“Being at home we want to be dominant and to win the game and by as much as we can, as well as keeping a clean sheet.”

Following Raith’s visit, Rangers have another home game against Livingston to take care of next Saturday.
